Our New Baby

We welcomed our new little baby boy into the world last Friday. Nathan Gator Bennett was born October 28th at 8:12 p.m.  I haven't been the best blogger this past year so some of you may not have known we were expecting. He is our little gift from heaven, due on the very day (October 31st) our little Sabrina passed away two years ago. We are so happy to have him join our family. Welcome to the world Nathan!

Big Accomplishment

In our ward this year the children of the primary were challenged to memorize all thirteen Articles of Faith and become members of the King's Court - (receive a king-sized candy bar and get their picture up on the King's Court bulletin board). I didn't even consider taking on the challenge because my two boys were Sunbeam age (3 year olds) and CTR B age (5 year olds). But then I heard that a little girl in Josh's class (CTR B) passed all thirteen Articles of Faith off! Wow! After hearing that I decided to try and teach Josh some of them. Well guess who learned them!? Brad my Sunbeam! I would be working on them with Josh, and Brad would be in the other room playing with his toys not paying attention, (or so I thought), and lo and behold the next day Brad would be reciting them. Well a couple of weeks ago, all three Bennett boys (including Dallon....who learned most of them in his primary classes) joined the King's Court! Good job guys!

To All Who Made Memories With Us in 2010

My kids have loved standing next to me watching me create this slide show over the past few weeks. One of my fondest memories from childhood is our Family Home Evenings when we would watch "slides" together. My dad would get out his slide projector and set up a huge screen and we would all watch slide shows of our past. This was so much fun and it was always humorous to see pictures of ourselves when we were younger and all of the things we did. I got this idea of making a slide show of 2010 and putting it to music off of someone's blog recently and I really wanted to make one for us. I think making memories together and then creating keepsakes of those memories is a great way to keep families together. Enjoy!

One thing I love

One thing I love is having kids at the age where they get excited about everything. All I have to do is begin decorating for a party and they are there, ready to jump in and help. They helped me decorate the walls and the table (and floor), and then Josh, as usual, got the best picture of the event.

This morning Josh asked when that green pinch day was. I told him not till March. He asked what number of March and when I told him the 17th he said, "OH! THAT'S LONG!" We're planning a big party for St. Patrick's Day......it's going to include hats and suspenders and green grog!
